This privacy policy sets the terms on how Crafty Nib (hereby known as the company, I, me, us or we) processes any personal data collected from you or provided by you when using Crafty Nib's services (hereby know as Crafty Nib website, social media platform (Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest), buying one of our products, subscribing to our mailing list, sending us email, enquiring or participating to events and workshops).

Crafty Nib is committed to protecting any data you share with us and we will only use your data to ensure that you are receiving the most relevant information, specific to your account with us, to the services requested by you, to your purchases, bespoke work, events & workshops and upcoming events that may be of interest.

What Information do we collect, why and what do we do with it ?

In order to complete and deliver your order and to provide you with the best service, we may need to gather and retain the following information: your name, address, phone and mobile phone numbers, email address, shipping address, billing address, payment details (encrypted) and other information relevant to the service requested by you.

If you have subscribed to our newsletter in order to receive information about products, offers, workshops and events, you have provided us with your Firstname and your email address, which will be recorded on our newsletter distribution list, which is processed by Mailchimp.

• You will only ever receive relevant information, from Crafty Nib, never from a third party.

• We will not share your contact information with any third party. 

• At any time you can request to be withdrawn from our email list. There is a clear automatic unsubscribe option at the bottom of each email, or you can contact us and we will remove you from the list.

• We never add anyone to an email list unless they have actively asked to be on it.

 

If you have booked a service (workshop/event) or purchased a product online with us :

• Your information has been collected to complete and deliver your order.

• Your information is securely stored in order to comply with legal and tax requirements, and as an ongoing reference for our work together.

• We will only use your information to provide you with the service you requested, for our internal record keeping, follow-ups, testimonials. Samples and pictures of custom artwork and design will be kept on file and may be used in our portfolio and for marketing purposes and may appear on social media, on Crafty Nib's website, displayed at fairs and events or other form of advertisements to promote our artwork, services, workshops or events. These will display the artwork and will not show any of your personal information. Please let us know, should you not want us to use your sample for future marketing. ​

How is your Information stored ?

Crafty Nib retains information collected from you only for as long as needed for legal and tax purposes (7 years for invoices and contracts and agreements related to the purchase of our services and products).

Information is stored securely :

• information obtained electronically or digitally is safely stored on a computer and is password protected (emails, workshop registers, electronic forms, photographs, invoices, contracts);

• in case you provided personal data in paper form, it will be transferred to a digital file that is password protected and the paper version will  be destroyed.

When Buying Products or Services (i.e. buying a product, booking a workshop or event)

• If you buy products or services from us, we collect your first and last name, the credit card holder's first and last name, your email address, billing address, credit card or other payment information and your phone number and information about the product(s)/service(s) you bought.

• Crafty Nib is hosted on the Wix.com platform. Wix.com provides us with the online platform that allows us to sell our products and services to you and online payments are processed via squareup.com and payment using the card reader at events/markets are processed via Sumup.co.uk. Your data may be stored through Wix.com’s, Squareup.com (Square), Sumup.co.uk (SumUp) data storage, databases and the general Wix.com applications. They store your data on secure servers behind a firewall. All direct payment gateways (Square and SumUp) offered by Wix.com and used by our company adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover. PCI-DSS requirements help ensure the secure handling of credit card information by our store and its service providers. Square uses industry-standard cryptographic protocols and message formats (such as SSL/TLS and PGP) when transferring data.
