Happy Easter

We've already gone through the first quarter of the year...

I can't believe how quick this year is flying by, we are already celebrating Easter this weekend. We're still in lockdown here in Scotland and restrictions are slowly easing and with the warmer and longer days, I'm grateful to be able to go on daily walks.

During the weekend of 20-21 March, I participated to my first online market, Ehartsmarket, hosted by the lovely Emily from Eharveyart. It was a great experience, doing my very first live on Instagram (decided on the very last minute- when Emily asked me to join her). It was a bit daunting and I still have to do more lives - or at least show my face more on social media and youtube. It's funny I feel a bit scare about it - especially as I've always spoke in front of people in my past office career - As a L&D officer I used to give trainings and do presentations to small and large audiences and never felt scared... It must be something to do with the non face to face/screen/virtual audience.... something to think about and definitely to work on as I do realise that "showing my face" is essential to connect with people.

On the same note - I mean speaking of "live" , I joined my partner Julien Pearly on one of the Ruby Tuesday Live music sessions hosted by his talented friend Rossco Galloway - and sang with him on 4 of his songs. Another great experience but again so strange to sing in front of a virtual audience...

I've not done much of calligraphy engraving this month except from testing engraving on stone. I have a few black stone pebbles in house and gave it a try. It is different from engraving on glass and I guess it depends on the stone as well. The one I used was quite porous and there was so much dust particles and the strokes were not that neat (looked a bit shaky) but overall it worked pretty well. I made a video you can watch on my YouTube channel here. And for once I'm showing my face on the video 😉.

Happy Easter

Easter is at our doors and children will be off school again...

Hopefully the weather will be nice so they can spend some time playing outdoors. Otherwise they could do some lettering and colouring using the free colouring sheet I've created. Grab the freebie here. There's a 3 pages pdf to download: one is an A4 sheet to trace over and colour; and the other two sheets are A5 size (the size of a card to fold in 2)and one card is to trace over and colour, and the other card is already coloured and ready to send.

The pictures below show what the design looks like. Perfect for Easter!

Thanks a lot for reading and for your support.

I wish you a lovely week.

Until next time.

Natacha
